French Guiana is an overseas department/region and single territorial collectivity of France on the northern Atlantic coast of South America.
French Guiana is the only territory of the mainland Americas to have full integration in a European country.
The "Chant du départ" (French for "Song of Departure") is a revolutionary and war song written in 1794. It was the official anthem of the First Empire. It is also the regional anthem of French Guiana.
