20210213 Mobs, Another Abdication - The Daily Summation

It doesn't matter if a mob or other group, is transient or somewhat more permanent, the character of such an entity can turn on a dime.

Further, even if it doesn't change (highly unlikely in most cases, but nonetheless), there will almost certainly be sufficient diversity in the group to make it so you're unlikely to agree with everything the group claims to support or espouse.

Bottom line? You should always be your own person, with your own identity.

Being a member some sort of mob or group should be secondary to who you are.

It's okay to support a given group, even if you don't perfectly agree with it, but you should make sure people understand how you differ.

This is the discussion in the current edition of The Daily Summation from Kurt's Religion and Politics.

When I'm able to complete the companion article on the Kurt's Religion and Politics blog, I'll add a link to that here.
