Tribute to Notre-Dame de Paris

Short tribute to the 900 year old cathedral ravaged by fire on the 15th of April 2019. Have a look at the cathedral as it was before the fire. The most important is the choir fence, wooden panels engraved between 1300 and 1350. These magnificent panels were made to separate the clergymen, monks and nuns in prayer, from the visitors, allowing them to pray in relative silence. The monumental choir fence has most probably been burned, if not has gone up in smoke. Thankfully the biggest stained glass rosaces have survived, but some smaller stained glass works have been destroyed. SOS hopes for an AUTHENTIC restoration.
