On My Way Up - Gretchen Norwood

I wrote this song in the hospital room with my father-in-law, Ron Norwood, and it was inspired by his nurse, Chuck. As my husband and I turned to enter Ron's room for the first time, Chuck placed his hand on my shoulder and said "He's on his way up." That simple phrase made such an impact and lifted our spirits for the tough few days ahead. We are forever grateful to Chuck and the amazing staff at Rex Hospital (Raleigh, NC) who cared for our dear Dad. We will never forget you.
