Robin bird gets a drink while farmer is breaking ice for cows during a cold snap

While breaking ice in the pond so his cattle could drink, the farmer caught the attention of a thirsty robin. One the water was open, the bird assertively but cautiously made it's way toward the open water hole to get a drink.

Coming much closer to the human that normal, it outlines how little free flowing water was available to animals during this week long stretch of freezing weather.
