U.S. Navy medical providers assigned to Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force 531, get updates during shift change and assist with the care of patients while providing COVID-19 relief efforts at St. Luke’s Health Memorial Hospital in Lufkin, Texas, Feb. 4, 2021. St. Luke’s COVID-19 intensive care unit has been outfitted with a negative pressure system that allows medical staff and Department of Defense personnel to wear surgical masks when not directly interacting with patients. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to the whole-of-government COVID-19 response.
