Gift of the Givers donate to flood victims

Gift of the Givers is airlifting humanitarian aid to stranded villagers in Kuruman. Kuruman villages in the Northern Cape have experienced the worst flood since 1974. Roads are impassable and villagers are cut off from the rest of Kuruman, who are desperately in need of food. Nicky and Jonathan Oppenheimer sponsored an Augusta Wetland W139 helicopter with two ton carrying capacity to transport the aid to the people in need. The supplies were generously sponsored by Woolworths, Makro and TFG. SAPS, disaster management, social development and the mayor's office are in communication with tribal chiefs in the affected area to make arrangements to receive the precious cargo and to deliver it equitably.
