Washington, Carnation. Picking Strawberries at Remlinger Farms and Harvold farms 2016

All over Washington State are U-Pick farms. My wife loves frozen fruit smoothies in the winter, so every year we go out to pick strawberries, cherries, grapes, blueberries, apples, raspberries, plumbs, Apricots, and any other fruits we can find. We usually freeze upwards of 50 pounds a year to last us until next picking season. Yes, we can buy them at the store in season for much less, but where’s the fun in that?
Carnation is a small town near Snoqualmie Falls about 45 miles from Seattle. A beautiful drive out in the country, when the city is feeling a little over crowded.
If you have small kids, U-Pick farms are a great way to teach your kids where the food they eat comes from, and what it looks like as it grows to maturity. And usually, they can sit there and eat all they like, no real downside to making a U-Pick farm a destination day trip.

I generally put out a new video on Wednesdays and Fridays every week.
