Washington: Seattle, Steampunk convention 2015

The Seattle Steampunk convention or "steamposium" was an awesome event to go to. I had a slight fear that it would be a show filled with debauchery, and scantily clad people acting out their Victorian era fantasies, But it was overall an extremely fun and wholesome event. There were people there of all ages, with some whole families showing up decked out in their finest Victorian steam punk inspired garb. Honestly I would say eth average age there was about 45 to 50 for the attendees. Very refreshing and enjoyable. There were vendors there showing off Steam punk clothing, gear, art, stories, and music.
Sadly the steamposium event died in 2018 due to a lack of interest. Which is a shame because if more people had known about the family friendly atmosphere there, I think this would have made a great long standing tradition in Seattle.
