A Funky Looking Teenaged Red Crested Cardinal

As Babies the Red Crested Cardinals have a Brown Crest this youngster is turning red and his beak is still a bit black as an adult the beak will be a cream color he’s truly funky looking but at this age they have little fear and will chase other birds from the seed bowls im hoping as he matures he will still visit but my guess is the parents won’t allow him into their territory as happens with almost every baby regardless of species except the Dumb Birds (Doves)
