Green Moray Eel

It is a genus of twelve species of large eels in the family of serpents.
The genus is common in the Mediterranean, and is found in abundance in tropical and subtropical seas, especially in rocky areas or on coral reefs. In the vast majority of them, a long fin extends from the head along the back, around the tail, to the excretory opening, but all are devoid of pectoral and pelvic fins. The leather is smooth and does not contain scales in many varieties that are decorated in bright and varied colors.
They also have a wide mouth and a powerful jaw, armed with generally formidable and sharp teeth that enable moray eels to not only capture their prey but also inflict severe, sometimes dangerous wounds on their enemies. It attacks people who approach its hiding places in shallow waters where it is intimidated by fishermen. At least one species of Morena retivera possesses an additional intraopharyngeal jaw that is movable and can rapidly advance forward to help capture prey.
