#25 Bushcraft & Survival in Uruguay. Bamboo Fire Saw

The Bamboo Fire saw is a very effective way to create an ember and start a fire. With plenty of Bamboo in Uruguay all I needed was a very dry piece to attempt to create an ember.

This video captures my 5th or 6th attempt so I was very pleased I made it work for the first time. The success came when I carved a tiny notch to one side of the split to hold the forming ember.
