When God Doesn't Make Sense Joshua and the Battle of Jericho Joshua 6:1-20

When we don’t understand the rationale behind God’s command it is harder to be obedient. Because we are proud of our intellect and we have a difficult time being submissive anyway. And when God’s commands don’t make sense to us, our faith is really tested.

But it is then that we have the opportunity to prove whether Jesus is really the Lord of our lives.

March around the city once with all the armed men. Do this for six days. Have seven priests carry trumpets of rams' horns in front of the ark. On the seventh day, march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the trumpets. When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have all the people give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the people will go up, every man straight in."
