Tour of WWII USS Kidd Destroyer - Part 1 of 3

The USS Kidd was a Fletcher class destroyer which was struck off of Okinawa by a kamikaze on April 11th,1945. My father-in-law served as a radio man 1st class on this ship. Shortly after he was relieved from duty, the kamikaze hit the radio room he had just left. He was unharmed.

Recently, The USS KIDD was used in the 2020 film "Greyhound" starring Tom Hanks.
