Space Force: A Fifteen Billion Dollar Joke to the Biden Admin?

President Biden’s White House Press Secretary is already openly mocking the U.S. military.



Today on Sekulow/The Logan Sekulow ReProgram, we talked about the White House Press Secretary’s blatant mocking of a military branch. During a press briefing, Jen Psaki mocked Space Force.



A reporter asked White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki the following at yesterday’s press briefing:

"And may I finally ask whether the President has made a decision on keeping, or keeping the scope of, Space Force?"

Ms. Psaki quipped in response:

"Wow. Space Force. It’s the plane of today."

The reporter then pointed out:

"It’s not. It’s an entire branch."

Ms. Psaki then said:

"It is an interesting question. I am happy to check with our Space Force point of contact. I’m not sure who that is. I will find out, and see if we have any update on that."

You need to listen to or watch that clip because the full extent of sarcasm and disrespect in her voice just doesn’t come through in print. Whether she likes it or not, equating a question about the status of a military branch to the painting of an airplane is absolutely disrespectful. And she claimed to not even know who the point of contact is. What message does this send to the rest of the world?



As I said on the broadcast, I cannot fathom why the President’s representative would openly mock a branch of the military. I also cannot fathom why anyone would think that Space Force is something that the United States should not have. If you understand how your phone or other technology works, you know this is a good thing to have. We’re not necessarily talking about rockets in space and getting into Star Wars-style battles or Star Trek exploration.

My co-host, Will Haynes, summarized what Space Force actually does:

"If you’re not for active boots on the ground wars, this should be the branch of the military that you’re most excited about because it operates things like the nation’s GPS system, missile warning satellites, things that actually are more defensive in nature than an aggressive military type branch."

I will never understand the hate for the general idea of the Space Force. Some people might get stuck on the name because to them it sounds goofy. However, I’m sure the Air Force sounded goofy at some point in time as well.

I think the truth is they’re against it simply because it was created under President Trump, and there are those who just feel the need to hate anything he ever put his stamp on. If President Obama, or even President Biden, had created the Space Force, these same critics would most likely be cheering for it.

Surely Jen Psaki would not be tolerating any mocking had it come from her boss. But then, we’re now finding out that the White House may be requiring advance access to all questions before these press briefings to determine which ones they’ll even field. Maybe next she should just start writing the questions for them.



The call to defund and get rid of Space Force is insane in my view, as is the disrespect shown to the members of that military branch. It’s certainly unacceptable coming from the White House.
