Meanwhile, the Biden administration and the Kremlin just announced that they agreed to extend the New START nuclear arms control treaty. This followed a phone call between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin. According to the Russians, the agreement was reached on their "terms." Recall that President Trump and his administration did not renew the pact with the Russians due to their failure to abide by the START terms.
On China: Unlike the Trump administrations, President Biden has now been told by way of a public demand that his administration had better play by China's rules. China’s top diplomat Yang Jiechi warned the Biden administration not to cross Beijing’s “red line” in a half-hour speech yesterday, 02.01.2021. With President Trump out of office, The Islamic Republic of Iran's print and electronic media sources are making it clear that they see the United States as weak. Biden has already said he looks forward to returning to the JCPOA 2015 nuclear deal. To the Iranians this signals weakness and an end to U.S. sanctions for the Islamic Republic's acts of terrorism against the United States - our soldiers and civilians.

With Biden signaling that he is prepared to reengage Iran in the nuclear accords, the Iranians have said they are firmly against any revisions or modifications to the original deal and expect a grand payment by the American taxpayer - payback for the sanctions they endured during the Trump administration for Islamic terrorism and their support of other terrorists and their activities.
