I just finished watching A Star in the Night directed by Don Siegel on you tube because I had decided to watch Old Christmas stories from the 50's. This one wasn't from the 50's, it was released on October 13, 1945, my year of birth. I had originally seen it a few years ago. It was a short film that I discovered had won an Oscar for best short film of 1945. I remembered it was a modern day parable along the lines of the birth of Jesus and that I had liked it the first time I saw it. Little did I realize how significant this short film would turn out to be on this Saturday night shortly before I was to post my last podcast of the year before my Christmas break.

It was 22 minutes in length which was Doug Flutie's number, 2 times Jesus by addition and fit right in with my podcast. When I saw the release date of October 13, 1945, I realized that it was the same Day and Month of the Holy Cross-Penn State game that was a key to this podcast. That game mentioned by Linsey Nelson in his halftime story was played on October 13, 1956, exactly 11 years after the release date of this short film. I was also 11 years old when that game occurred. Additionally, a classic SciFy film directed by Don Siegel was released in 1956 which I saw that year titled Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Remember, In TGP, aliens are connected to all of this. Additionally, on October 13, 1945, the release date of this film, I was exactly 204 days old. What is significant about that is that the 204th day of any year except leap year is July 23rd, the day after The Seed Movement in 1978. That just happens to be Three Wise Men Day and this film starts with three cowboys representing the three wise men in the short film. Mary Magdalene Day is July 22nd and The Seed Movement began on that day when I was beginning the last day of being exactly 33 and 1/3 years old at midnight the beginning of the 22nd of July in 78. There was no leap year in 1945 nor in 1978. 1956 was a leap year but did not factor into the 204 days between my birthday of '56 and October 13th of '56. I did not try to look for this short film tonight. I was looking for and watching 50's Christmas TV shows. It just happened to come up in the results of my search.
