Homeless And Hungry

Going out one night to get dinner turned out to be something we weren't expecting. My girlfriend met a homeless guy on the sidewalk outside of a restaurant. He was begging for money, not to buy drugs or alcohol, but to buy food, he was hungry because he hadn't eaten all day. This is a sad thing in this country - being homeless and hungry. He asked if she could spare anything, a dollar, change or anything so that he could get enough to be able to buy a little bit to eat.
