Early footage of Jacques Costeau, in a dramatized showing of how he put his new invention, the Aqualung, to use in underwater exploration, in this instance, of a ship sunk by a German U-boat. The footage was made into a short film by the now-defunct Castle Films for the home market, and this is digitized from the silent 8mm version, which hasn't been broadly seen in some time.
