One Of Our Deleted Albums Series

John Baldry (1941-2005) was a British singer and guitarist and a leading figure in 1960's British blues.

Rod Stewart and Elton John both started their careers in John Baldry's bands.

John Baldry released Baldry's Out in 1979 on Capitol Records, catalogue number ST 6459. It is a good album and, along with some JohnBaldry originals, has covers of Stealer (original by Free), A Thrill's A Thrill (original by Bill Amesbury and the Amesbury LP is on the channel) and IMHO the best cover of the Righteous Brothers' You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling that I've ever heard.

Baldry's Out had limited commercial success. It was deleted from the Capitol Records catalogue by the early 1990's. It has been reissued on CD but now it seems the CD's are only available as 2nd hand copies.

The audio here was taken from a 1979 Canadian pressing of the original Capitol Records vinyl LP.
