The bizarre catch was caught by fishermen, near the city of Mersin, and the stall gave it pride of place on the counter.

To highlight the human likeness, the owners even gave the shark a pair of glasses.

The fishy find got plenty of attention and traders and customers.
It looked like it had two eyes, a nose, and a mouth, because of its unusual markings.

Mersin Fishermen's Association President Faruk Polat said the shark, which measured nearly three-and-a-half feet, was not usually seen in the Mediterranean.

He said: "It usually lives in the oceans but sometimes runs off course, often due to weather conditions, and comes to the Mediterranean Sea.

"We call it the human face fish as it has eyes, nose, and lips that resemble a human's. It was first seen in India where people reacted in a different manner. "

The shark is also good for diabetes, and it can regulate blood sugar levels, which has been scientifically proven.
