Hebrew View of Theology in the Old Testament
3 years ago
12
The Hebrews in the Old Testament saw heaven and earth together as one cosmos. They saw creation as redeemed. The Greek culture didn’t see the redemption of creation. The saw the sinful, beyond redemption of evil to be destroyed.
The gospel from the Hebrew perspective is that God put Adam and Eve over His creation to be stewards to rule His creation with Him. Adam and Eve were not able to fulfil that function because of sin. So instead of ruling over creation, sin ruled over humanity and that brought destruction to creation. But in Christ, God is restoring this Adamic stewardship.
