Former Vice-President and 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden was quick to correct himself during a speech in Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday after he said poor kids "are just as bright and just as talented as white kids."

Joseph Biden is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. He represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2020 United States presidential election, running against incumbent Donald Trump. Biden unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination in 1988 and 2008.
