Kids playing at the waters edge in Vernazza, Italy

Vernazza is one of the five towns that make up the Cinque Terre region. It is the quaintest and steepest of the five villages. There is no car traffic but there's a train that runs through the mountain/coastal tunnels connecting each town for transportation. I slept with the windows open and never heard the train. The Italian Riviera (Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore)
is a wonderful experience. Highly recommended.
