Tonight we’re going to talk about Biden’s reversal of Trump’s ban on Transgender people in the military; we’re going to look at Chinese Communist Party, President Xi Jinping’s earnest hopes for the future of US/China relations, and we’re going to look at one of the most ambitious and most sweeping global economic development plans of any government in history — the One Belt One Road Initiative; which may just be destined to fall on its face. Now, believe it or not, each of these topics is related. And we’ll be illuminating those connections tonight, but first.

Last week some difficult-to-stomach blows were already dealt by the less-than-a-week-old, Biden administration. One was the re-commitment to the Paris Climate Agreement – considered by many to have very little environmental benefit, but devastating economic consequence. There was also the scrapping of Trump’s executive order to cut federal regulatory burden; meaning, for one, that high priority infrastructure projects are going to get caught up in a lot more red tape than they did under Trump.
