Washington DC Trip 1/6/21

James and I took a little road trip. It was supposed to be a protest but it turned into a riot. And it all happened right before our eyes. We were astonished.

Bottom line: It was a safe gathering. Nobody had weapons except the police. But Mike Pence threw Trump under the bus and that pissed the crowd off. The antifa and blm elements took it from there inciting the crowd to storm the Capitol. Some jackwads got arrested for breaking windows and such but no real violence except the tussle between the protesters and the police at the front line. Tear gas, pushing/shoving, etc.

The idea that this crowd were insurrectionists is preposterous. They were pissed off patriots and some took it too far by storming the capitol. Nor were they domestic terrorists. Please. Again, no weapons. Nothing was torched for example which is more than I can say for the summer riots in ‘20.

Those that stormed the Capitol made a serious blunder that cost Trump the election because any support he may have had in Congress or the military evaporated on that day. Congress did not like their house being so ignominiously entered upon by rioters and, besides, none of them really like Trump anyways.

But it was living history. Like when, all of a sudden, Alex Jones pops up right behind me trying to get people to go around the Capitol peacefully. But to no avail as the crowd was just too immense.

It was a memorable day. So much so that I had to make this movie to memorialize the day’s events.
