2006 Cadillac DTS noisy lifter?
Performed an oil change recently. Now I'm getting this lifter noise I believe. Changed the oil with full synthetic Castrol high mileage Edge 5W30 and this noise appeared. Then I was referred to Lucas to quiet the lifters and I used a quart of Lucas in the oil system (yes I drained a quart). And it seem to have no effect on the sound I was getting. So I drained the oil and instead of using high mileage full synthetic oil comma I used SAE 5W30 conventional oil with risoline oil treatment, still no improvement on the noise. Drove the car 240 miles after the second oil change and no improvement on the noise. What could this be?
****UPDATE 8/01/18****
Engine has been replaced. Cheaper solution to fixing an engine with other parts failing soon. Please check my other videos for timing inspection, engine removal.
