Dangerous RV "slide out" situation and resolved it with a DIY side-out controller.

Very dangerous slide-out situation! We had an issue with the slide-out where it would just operate on its own. Replaced a faulty switch thought we had resolved the issue, then one night I was working on the camper when the slide starting coming in on its own and I couldn't stop it. What if it had decided to go out while driving down the road. I feel that the system is more robust and won't have any issues with it operating on its own.

We used a winch control solenoid to replace the old system, it works great and seems the slide even operates better than it did before.
