The sounds of waterfall help many people sleep, relieve stress and relax because the brain assimilates these kinds of noises as "friendly" sounds and uses them to block out those it considers " disruptive ". All you have to do is close your eyes and let yourself be lulled by the noise.

So-called "calming" sounds like the sea, rain, river, waterfall or storm act the same, but in the opposite direction. They help the brain figure out that everything is fine, calming the nerves making the atmosphere conducive to falling asleep.
