Learning the Sidepass and Why It's Important

The sidepass is an important riding skill to learn. It's a necessary movement for getting your horse around obstacles when moving sideways is the only way around.

In my lessons, I use the Crazy 8 drill to teach the sidepass to riders and to soften up the ribs of the horse so that they are capable of understanding what their rider is asking them to do.
