Rockys, Mammoth Bar OHV area, Mountain Biking Auburn CA
Rockys is a short trail located in the Mammoth Bar OHV area. As you can see from the video it definitely lives up to its name. It is basically one large rock garden. I think this is an exceptional trail to improve bike skill and handling. Great place to do repeats and build confidence. I also use it for suspension tuning.
Rockys can be ridden alone and is a short steep climb to the top using the dirt road to reach the top. The climb is difficult in the beginning but is very doable. Most people probably shuttle it with the Culvert trail and Stonewall option. I like climbing up the access road and doing a loop with Stonewall. The other option is take Stonewall to Connector trail and climb all the way up to do Culvert trail, I really like this option because the climb is hard and the downhill is epic. Stonewall trail and Rockys. The climb out of Mammoth bar is not for the weak, Great place do some laps and get in shape.
