Nobody wants to be mistreated or abused. Nobody wants to be a slave, or live in segregation from another part of society with no cause.

As such, the reasons for the Civil Rights Movement can be easily understood.

That said, as with the response to just about anything, the question that must be asked is, "How successful has what occurred been in the long run?"

I think it's fair to say in some senses, it was pretty successful.

The problem is, folks still hold inside, what the believe, even if you get them to change how they act.
