《街角》Corner of the Street -- Ray Lin guitar music

Seeing you, at the corner of the street.
On the street corner, many inadvertent encounters could very well be a God-sent blessing. For those of us who believe in God, we know that there is no coincidence. It is possible that God’s thoughtful arrangements are buried everywhere on the streets you walk by everyday. What I can do is to listen and respond with an open heart, and let God’s love and blessings flow through me or through the people I meet.
Slow down a bit and there's so much to discover and see, for I know, God’s surprises are all over the corner of the street.

This guitar music was written around 2004. Recently I heard Masaaki Kishibe's performance on the Internet. And I suddenly remembered that I used to practice several of his songs many years ago. His work has a tone of innocence and simplicity. The skillful warmth greatly influenced me during those days when I first learned how to play fingerstyle guitars. You can say this piece is a tribute to him, trying to approach him in style. Perhaps because he is Japanese, I was always reminded of Japan when I composed this song.

Frankly speaking, I hope I can go to Japan to share the gospel. Could the fact that our family used to own a Japanese restaurant has something to do with this familiarity I feel?

This song is very suitable for background music at work and study. Maybe soon I will put together a few of my own guitar songs and make a 20 minutes office background music.

在街角，遇到你。

在街角，許多的不經意，卻是帶來驚喜的際遇。對於相信神的我們，知道沒有所謂的巧合，有可能今天在路上隨處都埋著上帝精心的安排。而我能做的，就是帶著開放的心時時聆聽、回應，不設限地讓上帝的祝福透過自己，或是所遇到的人彼此傳遞。

這首吉他演奏曲大約是在2004年左右寫的，最近偶然網路上聽到了岸部真明（Masaaki Kishibe) 的演奏，突然想起多年前練過幾首他的演奏曲，他的作品有種純真樸實不取巧的溫暖，對當時接觸 fingerstyle 吉他的我影響很大。這首曲子可以說是向他致敬的作品，在風格上嘗試向他靠近。也許因為他是日本人的緣故，所以創作這曲子的時候總是會讓我想到日本。

坦白說我還蠻希望自己可以去日本傳福音的。該不會自己老家是做日本料理的所以會莫名的熟悉？

這首曲子很適合工作讀書放空當背景聽。可能不久我會整理幾首自己的演奏曲串起來做個約２０分鐘左右的辦公背景音樂吧？
