Original music on "The Merchant of Venice" by O. Welles

The historical theme of Shakespeare calls to a sound setting of 1500-1600. The foley and sounds were not present in the original and it was appropriate to insert them. The soundtrack was created for leitmotives, each character has an identifying theme that accompanies its entry on the scene. In the contrast between the Merchant, an isolated and alone character, and everything else, a contrast has been put into practice as in the Concerto Grosso, with a small ensemble that underlines the solitary character of the Merchant as if he were a Concertino, in contrast to the orchestral ensemble at the entrance of everyone else.
