Tracy Chapman Wins Lawsuit Against Nicki Minaj. According to the lawsuit, Minaj rerecorded the lyrics and vocal melody of Chapman's song "Baby Can I Hold You" without Chapman"s permission. Minaj will pay the singer-songwriter $450,000 in a court order of judgment.

Trump supporters armed with weapons attempted to disrupt the electoral college vote count and clashed with security personnel at the US Capitol building.
By sun set, five were reported dead. Washington DC Police had seized weapons, chemical irritants from members of the mob as well as an explosive device was from the premises. Reports show at least 52 people were arrested. More than 50 officers were reported injured.
