A Message from the Old Masters

This is taken from the Fourth Knowledge lecture of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, which was a highly influential spiritual Order during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

After they fell, various groups and individuals worked to preserve their magical and occult knowledge and wisdom. This particular excerpt comes to us from the book The Golden Dawn, by Israel Regardie. It explains to the Initiate hoping to reach Adepthood, how they should purify their mind, body and soul. This allows the individual to be ready to receive the Divine light.

The Golden Dawn had many grades, similar to other spiritual orders. This lecture was given during the 4th grade called Practicus, which was the second last grade before proper initiation into the Inner Order, called the A.A et R.R.
