Abstain from Fleshly Desires, which War Against the Soul

Beloved, I encourage you as strangers and pilgrims to abstain from fleshly desires, which war against the soul – 1 Peter 2:11
Stop loving the world and the things of the world. If someone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him because all the things in the world, the desires of the flesh, and the desires of the eyes, and the pride of biological life are not out form the Father but out from the world – 1 John 2:15, 16
