British people spent more money on video games than TV shows and movies combined in 2020

The coronavirus pandemic means that many people can’t do their normal social activities due to countries being in lockdown, which meant most people spent a lot more time indoors. This has seemingly lead to a huge rise in the number of people playing video games.
