Dugout Dwelling

This dugout was likely the original sheler at the ranch site but became a root cellar after the ranch house was built.When I first found it, it still had a pole roof and a window. There are concrete steps which would mean they were formed after 1900 but the dugout could have been there much longer. The ranch house sat on a concrete slab.
