Is Pinterest Safe? California Artists Should Watch This

Welcome to 2021! This is my first video of the new year. It's been rocky already, but I guess we all expected that. Last month I did a little research on Pinterest and uncovered articles written back in 2012. It might seem irrelevant since that was years ago, but I discovered something today......After discovering this information I'm actively considering deactivating my Pinterest account despite having half a million impressions per month.

PINTEREST TERMS OF SERVICE

Pinterest actively tells you to not rip off other people's copyright, but they don't provide guidance on what that means when you sign up for their platform. Copyright is a sticky issue and something artists do research on. I don't think a platform like Pinterest should tell people not to steal copyrights if they're not willing to inform their users on what a copyright is. They don't even link to our government's copyright website:

https://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-general.html#what

https://www.copyright.gov/

Additionally, they have a subsection for people who are residents of California about all of the information they collect about you when using the platform. The worst part is....they admit they are collecting information even when you're not using the platform. Skip to time stamp:

to hear just about that.
