Maria Theresa thaler (English: Maria Theresa thaler) is also known as the Austrian real or Maria Theresa dollar. It is a silver coin minted in 1741 and named after Queen Maria Theresa who ruled Austria, Hungary and Bohemia from 1740 to 1780. The Austrian rial was used in trade. Constantly global. On September 19, 1857, Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria announced that the Maria Theresa Dollar is the official currency of Austrian trade. But a year later, October 31, 1858, that currency lost its official status in Austria.
