Voters Just Want Their Vote to Count...

Here's what the President could do about it: Give every town in the US a week to organise a proper vote for the new LEADER OF THE FREE WORLD! I just wanted to emphasise how important this is, in case no one realised. It could be done even better than in Canada. Order in a piece of A4 paper for each citizen, it doesn't have to be a custom-printed ballot...because every one will be supervised by the locally-elected Sheriff (he can wear a hospital-quality mask! :) Each voter rolls in personally & writes down their choice for President at the top of their paper, then folds it down for secrecy. Then they step forward to a table in front of The Sheriff (they can socially distance if required.) The law officer then observes as they write their name & contact details, along with their age. Printed on the ballot box is a warning that there will be a massive fine for attempting to break the voting requirements and rules. Every hour there will be a break to count the votes so far, still under the Sheriff's eye, and keep a running tally, guarded by the Sheriff & his Deputies, so it can't be altered in any way. A camera can be easily trained on the line of voters to make sure no one comes back to vote again. The census figures can be employed to ensure that there aren't more votes than voters. After everyone in the town/precinct has voted who wants to, the vote-counters can check the list of shut-ins who have requested long-distance voting, against the number difference between winner & loser. If it would make a difference to take their tally, the extra trouble and expense can be taken to send Law Enforcement Deputies to collect their votes personally, in their hospital rooms or homes. That's what I'd do if I were the President, I'd give everyone a week to get organised, because it's simple to just call out your Sheriff to deputise people, order in a quantity of office paper & set up some stations in schools or town halls. We'd have to do it for a hurricane or earthquake, right? It doesn't take a genius to figure out how to count by hand. That's how they did it in the 1770's, changing to "modern inventions" was meant to make things easier, but just look what happened!!! This is such a big "pup" to be sold, I'm reminded of the Simpsons' "Monorail" episode, lol...
