I Was Wrong About Bill Barr – It’s Obvious Now, 3441

Good Sunday evening and Happy New Year to all of you. I’m Still reporting on the coup.
This coming week is certain to be one of the most momentous in the history of this nation. This is not the week you want to be flying off to Hawaii!
But before we turn yet another page in President Trump’s odyssey with the United States, there is one thing that needs to be examined and cast in stone before I move on – how wrong I was about Bill Barr.
Former Attorney General Bill Barr was a huge disappointment to a lot of supporters of President Donald J. Trump. He was also a huge disappointment to Trump, himself who finally fired Barr.
Yes, he was likely given the choice to resign or be fired and escorted from the building by the Secret Service.
Barr knows the ropes, so he did the honorable thing and resigned. I doubt if at this point in his career, Barr cares much about his resume, but it was far better for all concerned to have Barr respectfully resign, write a nice letter about Trump and go home.
The fact that Barr didn’t work out was a surprise to many and I think that includes Trump who keeps making the same mistake over and over.
In his second four years, Trump can get ten times more work done, if he will learn from his mistakes in the first term which include trusting anyone with Barr’s resume which means any Washington insider.
Barr was attorney general under George H. W. Bush, a long-time employee of the Justice Department in different positions, and worked for the CIA. You can call it the Deep State, if you like, or call it the embedded Washington establishment - but they are the folks who actually run the country.
The reality is that there is a large group of people in Washington who have worked in Washington for years or even generations, under various administrations and in various positions. Attorneys go back and forth from the Justice Department to law firms that handle government issues, or lobby but they are all working together with the main focus not on what is best for the American people, but what is best for them - meaning the embedded Washington establishment - the Swamp as it is sometimes called.
