20201227 A Good Person - The Daily Summation

Are you a good person? If you answered, "Yes," I have a problem with you.

That's not to say it's something we can't work through, but you calling yourself a good person, or worse yet, humble, is a sign that you're willing to toot your own horn.

I don't consider that a good personal attribute.

Is it okay for you to consider me a good person? Certainly.

Can you hear testimonials from others about my being humble? Absolutely.

Is it proper to say "I'm trying to be easy going?" Yep.

The problem comes when you proclaim yourself something--whether or not you actually are.
