香港的金鐘是一個重要位置，車站有六個月台。
有不少商店，賣較高檔和貴價貨品。
十幾部出閘機，很壯觀。
金鐘站主色是藍，白，黃，綠。
在2017年翻新後，以QR code為主題。

1980年2月12日啟用。車站擴建後的垂直里程深入地底43公尺，代替鰂魚涌站（深42公尺，比此站淺僅1公尺）成為全香港第三深的車站，僅次於香港大學站（深70公尺）及西營盤站（深50公尺）。

It was opened on February 12, 1980. After the expansion, it was vertically deep into the ground 43 meters.
