Bill Birch was the first motion picture cameraman to win Photojournalist of the Year award. Bill Birch was the White House cameraman for NBC in charge of covering the administrations of President John F Kennedy (JFK) and Harry Truman. Bill Birch was in Dallas for NBC when JFK was assassinated and witnessed inconsistencies from the official story. Bill Birch was in an army movie making platoon in World War 2 with Frank Capra and John Huston as their Director of Photography. Bill Birch later worked in film and shot and oversaw all the Chicago camera footage as the Chicago primary camera man / Chicago Director Photography for the original Blues Brothers movie. Bill Birch was the official cameraman at one time for the United Nations.
