Stella Artois Midnight Lager 3.25/5

Stella Artois gives us this special for the 2nd year. A dark lager she runs 5.4 ABV I'd guess sub 20 for IBUS and the SRM By My Eye is an easy 125.
Billed as having chocolate, espresso and smoke but all I really got was a thin light chocolate hit. She comes in thin with a bit of the chocolate and does a fast minor build. She covers the palate in a thin sheen and dumps down to a dirty finish. I did finally get a bit of coffee on the back end but not that it was a major part of the brew. No smoke unfortunately, I do love a good smoked lager. Not bad and as easy drinker no doubt, uncomplicated so she's be easy to knock back a few but really grabbing me.
