【115】ウイルスの存在は自然の摂理である - 大橋眞

PCR陽性者を感染者であるとして、大きな騒ぎになっています。PCRは、遺伝子の断片を検査するものであり、もしこれがウイルスの遺伝子であったとしても、ウイルスが存在することは自然なことであり、通常は何の問題もありません。今回問題としている遺伝子断片は、中国のグループが発表した論文の遺伝子と一部似ているというものであり、これが新コロウイルス遺伝子として大騒ぎをしているわけです。しかし、この遺伝子の正体がウイルスのものであったとしても、健康に影響しなければ問題にする必要はありません。
　そもそも、中国の発表した遺伝子を持ったウイルスは単離されていないために、その存在も証明できていません。また、病原性があるかどうかもわかりません。この遺伝子の一部とよく似た遺伝子が見つかったといって何が問題なのでしょうか。多くの一般の人は、中国武漢の路上で人が倒れる場面や、クルーズ船での謎の感染症をイメージするのかも知れません。しかし、それらの場面において、同じウイルスが病気を引き起こしたという証拠はどこにもありません。クルーズ船の乗客から似た遺伝子断片が見つかったという事実はあるかもしれませんが、この遺伝子を持ったウイルスが感染症を引き起こしたという証拠がないのです。
　通常ウイルスが存在することを問題にする必要はありません。問題があるのは、ウイルスが急速に増殖し、症状を引き起こす場合です。その場合は、単一のウイルスが多数増殖します。その結果として、細胞傷害を起こし、組織に問題が生じます。また、他の人に感染させる可能性が出てきます。症状が出ない程度のウイルスが、多種類存在して、安定な状態を保っているのであれば何の問題もありません。今は、これを無症状感染者として隔離しているわけです。
　遺伝子の一部が、中国の論文のものと似ていると言って、大騒ぎをする理由はどこにもないわけです。類似のウイルスを持った人が、集団で見つかったからと言って、感染が広がっているわけでもありません。無症状の人が感染源になるという証拠にはなり得ません。これまでのように、症状を基本として、その症状を説明できるウイルス増殖が確認されるのかということが重要なわけです。

There is no problem as long as there are many types of viruses that do not cause symptoms and they are in a stable state. We are now quarantining it as an asymptomatic infected person.
There is no reason to make a fuss about some of the genes being similar to those in Chinese treatises. Just because someone with a similar virus is found in a population does not mean that the infection is widespread. There can be no evidence that asymptomatic people are the source of infection. As in the past, it is important to confirm the viral growth that can explain the symptom based on the symptom.
