【54】科学的エビデンスの欠如がコロナ騒動の本質である - 大橋眞

コロナ騒動の大きな要因として、健常者の自粛、マスク、ソーシャルディスタンスの必要性がマスコミ等を通じて報道され、半ば強制力を持たせる形で社会のあり方を変えようとしていることがあげられる。この話は、無症状の感染者から飛沫等により、伝播するという科学論文に基づいている。しかしながら、PCR陽性で症状のない人が、どの程度病原体を飛散させるのかについての直接的エビデンスはない。
　科学的エビデンスの第一段階としての、PCR陽性で症状のない人がどのくらいPCRに反応するウイルスを撒き散らすのかというとして実証実験もないのである。この第一段階の実験は、倫理的な問題もなく簡単に行うことができる。この実験結果によっては、仮説を見直すことにつながる。すなわち、健常者の自粛、マスク、ソーシャルディスタンスの必要性についての科学的エビデンスの第一歩につながるか、この仮説を捨てるかの重要な実証実験になりうるのである。

A major factor in the corona turmoil is that the need for self-restraint, masks, and social distance for healthy people has been reported through the media, and they are trying to change the way society should be in a semi-coercive manner. This story is based on a scientific paper that it is transmitted from asymptomatic infected people by droplets or the like. However, there is no direct evidence of how much PCR-positive, asymptomatic individuals disperse pathogens.
As the first step of scientific evidence, there is no proof experiment as to how much a PCR-positive and asymptomatic person spreads a virus that reacts to PCR. This first stage experiment is easy to carry out without any ethical issues. Depending on the results of this experiment, it will lead to a review of the hypothesis. In other words, it can be an important empirical experiment whether it leads to the first step of scientific evidence about the need for self-restraint, masks, and social distance in healthy people, or whether to abandon this hypothesis.
