visit phxbrass.com Phoenix Brass Collective presents the majestic Finale from Stravinsky's Firebird. Again the members of PBC perform in separation, still practicing social distancing. This time, however, we tried something a little more refreshing.

Used in many slavic literary works, the Firebird is typically portrayed as the highly coveted mark of a difficult journey or quest. Commonly described as having striking eyes and luminous plumage of red and gold, it is a bird that is known for its beauty as well as it’s danger. The bird known as the Phoenix in Greek folklore shares the same physical characteristics with the Firebird but it symbolizes something different: new life arising from the ashes of its predecessor.
